AWARDS & NOMINATIONS

Legislator

This award is given to a Legislator who has enhanced the goals of the Child Support Program in Wisconsin through legislation or through public relations efforts designed to bring attention to the Child Support Program and its focus on the goal of bettering the quality of living for Wisconsin's children.

Child Support Agency

A County/Tribal Child Support Agency as a whole who enhanced or strengthened the Child Support Program. Activities where this county exceeds the expectations of County/Tribal Child Support operations might include:  New and innovative ideas and approaches leading to increased efficiency or performance, New and innovative program cost-saving measures, Community awareness program – development and implementation, Inter-Agency and/or Intra-Agency cooperation initiative, or any other notable improvements or agency goals which should be recognized statewide.

Child Support Attorney

This award is given to an attorney either employed by a child support agency or contracted by the child support agency. For example: this attorney may be one who works hard to keep current on policies and laws while excelling in the courtroom and/or negotiation with parties to collect, enforce and establish child support orders. This attorney may be one who is known to "network" to provide assistance to other child support attorneys in their own county, other agencies in the state, and agency staff.

Hall of Fame 

This award is presented to a Child Support Professional who has left the child support program voluntarily (due to retirement, advancement, or relocation) or involuntarily (due to death or position elimination) and who has contributed many years of service to strengthen and enhance the program, specifically through participation in the WCSEA. The winner of this award is not required to have served in the capacity of a WCSEA Board Member; however, it does require the recipient to have served the WCSEA by attending regular meetings, serving on committees/ workgroups or by some other form of participation. This Child Support Professional may also have contributed to the child support program at their local county level, regionally, with other child support/partner agencies and at the State level. Because of the individual’s active participation, contributions to the program will be remembered for years to come. 

Judicial Official

This award is given to a Judge or Family Court Commissioner who has increased the effectiveness of the Child Support Program in Wisconsin through innovative court orders or procedures that call attention to the financial responsibilities that parents have for their children, or through public relations efforts designed to bring attention to the Child Support Program and its focus on the goal of bettering the quality of living for Wisconsin's children.

Child Support Management Employee 

An Administrator, Director or management level employee who has strengthened and enhanced the Child Support Program in their county/tribal agency. Activities where this individual exceeds the expectations of their position might include: New and innovative ideas and approaches in increased efficiency or performance, A leader in creative thinking and identifying new and innovative program cost-saving measures, Community awareness program – development and implementation, Inter-Agency and/or Intra-Agency cooperation initiative, Exemplary Team Leader and motivator for the agency – examples 

State Employee

This award is given to an individual who has worked hard to promote, enhance, and strengthen goals of the Child Support Program. This state employed individual may be known for maintaining working relationships with agency/tribal child support staff throughout the state to enhance and promote state/county teamwork and good communication.

WCSEA Member

This award is given to an individual who has worked hard to promote and further the goals of WCSEA. They may have given much of their time to WCSEA to promote and enhance the Association and its programs, with the objective of strengthening Wisconsin’s IV-D Program. This individual may be one who has reached out to other county/tribal child support programs to share ideas and represent the interests of Wisconsin’s program as a whole. 

Child Support Worker

A non-management worker who has contributed to or improved their county’s child support program. Examples might include, but are not limited to: New and innovative ideas and approaches in increased efficiency/performance in their agency, new and innovative program cost-saving measures, community awareness program – development and implementation, Inter-Agency and/or Intra-Agency cooperation initiative, any other activities above the expectations of the position requirements
